EXCELR8 JOINS FORCES WITH TEAMSPORT KARTING IN OFFICIAL PARTNERSHIP

EXCELR8 can today confirm an exciting new partnership with TeamSport, the largest indoor karting company in the UK.

The team, which runs the Team VERTU programme in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship and operates cars in the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE, has previously worked indirectly with TeamSport as a result of their continued relationship with BIZ Karts – which got underway when Director Chris Smith raced with EXCELR8 in the MINI CHALLENGE back in 2012.

BIZ Karts is one of the leading go-kart manufacturers in the world and provides karts to TeamSport sites around the UK.

The new official partnership between EXCELR8 and TeamSport will seek to build on their relationships, with the two parties working hand-in-hand in the quest for success throughout the remainder of the 2025 season – which resumes at Croft in North Yorkshire early next month.

Joining forces with front-running outfit EXCELR8 will enable TeamSport to further enhance its already impressive brand awareness across the UK as it continues to grow, with a new site in Brent Cross set to open this year, which will take TeamSport to 38 UK venues as well as an additional six across Europe.

The relationship with EXCELR8 will allow TeamSport to directly engage with a passionate fanbase that shares a passion for speed and on-track competition, whilst it will enable the team to work with TeamSport on a range of initiatives to take the BTCC to a wider audience.

Justina Williams, EXCELR8 Team Owner, said:
“We’re delighted to announce our new partnership with TeamSport as we prepare to kickstart the second half of our season in the coming weeks.

“There are obvious synergies between what we do as a race team and how TeamSport operates as a business, so the decision to join forces makes perfect sense for us both – particularly when we have already worked together indirectly in the past.

“TeamSport has all the tools that allow fans of Team VERTU to experience what it is like to get out on track themselves, whilst we can allow those people who enjoy karting at TeamSport venues across the UK to see what motorsport is like at the highest level.

“I have no doubt that this partnership will be a success over the coming months and we’re looking forward to working with everyone at TeamSport going forwards.”

Symon Wooldridge, TeamSport Chief Operating Officer, said:
“We’re thrilled to be partnering with EXCELR8 , a team that shares our passion for motorsport, performance, and inspiring the next generation of racers. This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity to connect with racing fans across the UK and bring the excitement of indoor karting to an even wider audience.

“With BTCC’s huge following and EXCELR8’s on-track success, we’re looking forward to an exhilarating journey together.”
