EXCELR8 JOIN FORCES WITH SPECIALIST RISK GROUP FOR 2025

EXCELR8 can today confirm a new partnership with global insurance intermediary Specialist Risk Group (SRG) that will run across its motorsport programmes during the 2025 season.

SRG is one of the fastest growing insurance intermediaries in the UK offering services to clients in a wide range of industries, with the business providing a bespoke service through its different brands.

EXCELR8’s partnership will see it work hand-in-hand with SRG’s Specialist Risk Entertainment & Sport (SRES) division, which was formed by SRG to bring together leading talent from the entertainment and sport insurance industries.

Amongst that talent is Simon Harrison, Director of Sport, a long-time motorsport fan who has known Justina Williams, EXCELR8 Team Owner, for more than decade.

Having joined the SRES team back in 2023, discussions between Simon and Justina resulted in the formation of the new partnership for 2025, which will cover programmes in both the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship and the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE.

EXCELR8 will now benefit from extensive knowledge within the SRES team, which has more than 200 years of combined experience in offering tailored insurance and risk management solutions.

SRG branding will feature on the Team VERTU cars being run by EXCELR8 in the BTCC this season, whilst the company will also have a presence trackside at a number of events during the year.

The opening rounds of the season for the BTCC team take place at Donington Park this weekend.

Justina Williams, EXCELR8 Team Owner, said:

“We are delighted to welcome SRG onboard as one of our partners going into the 2025 season. Although this is a new partnership for us as a team, I have known Simon at SRES for a number of years and it is fantastic that we now have the opportunity to work together in this way. Hopefully this will be the start of a long and successful relationship both on and off the track.”

Simon Harrison, SRES Director of Sport, said:

“I have known Justina and EXCELR8 team for over ten years, since I first started arranging commercial insurance solutions for specialist motorsport businesses. Now, as Director of Sport at SRES, I’m delighted that we have the opportunity to continue this relationship by partnering with the business and the team in their pursuit of success in both the BTCC and the Vertu MINI CHALLENGE.”
